I haven't run mine at a track but it should run somewhere in the high 13's. It handles supercharged GTP's without a problem even though she has close to 100,000 miles on her now. The guy from J&J auto probably has the fastest on here right now.

IntenseDak probably had one of the fastest, I believe it was around mid 13's on an open differential. But I guess he's going to a BB now.

As Jon said, Larry from J & J Auto has the fastest that isn't using N2, turbo or superchager. He has a 3.9 stroker and it is in the 14's.

larry runs 14.4's with a stroker as mentioned... but his is also 4X4, he just removed his front driveshaft at the track (i think thats what he said).
dodgeboy runs 13.4's with a well built motor, LSD, 4.10 gears and nitrous. I also think he broke into the 14s NA.. not sure. I know that he was having some traction issues.
I ran a 13.5 with stock pistons, crank, rods, camshaft, heads and open 3.55 diff... just a little juice and chassis prep ;-)

IntenseDak39; You can or could run a 13.5 on you v6 dak, with what a turbo and nitrous? I would be willing to bet if the stroker Larry has was in a 2 wheel drive Gen2, he would run in the high 13's.

Not the fastest my best of 3 runs was 14.4 @ 97
Front drive shaft removed, I take it off in the
summer, no need to have all that extra drag, I
also tried with the outer axles removed but it
did not make nuch dif so I leave them in now a
lot less work taking them in and out.
If the motor was in a 2 wheel I would say it
should drop into the high 13's without a prob

i dont doubt it.
but when you see how much he spent on it, you could probably have a very well build V8... but i like his for the unique'ness
just to give you an idea... my whole big block including motor and tranny and all the mods is probably less than $1000... and i expect 12s.

Yea, well it was 13.4's with a sh!tty driver and it running pig rich. Should of seen 13.2's that night if I could ever hit all the gears right. The ax15 doesnt like 400rwft/lb and is dying a nasty death. Will be back in the spring with a much bigger cam, dyno tune of the safcII and a nv3500. Look out for 12's....

As soon as Pacific Coast Raceways (formerly Seattle International Raceway) open I'll have to take my dak and get some 1/4 mile runs and see what I can come with for times.

that was just nitrous (100 shot)... i only ran the turbo once at the track and broke my tranny
ran a high 11 in the 1/8th on that run... road first gear all the way down (but still beat that S10)

Yes maybe I am crazy but I droped just over $6000
in the motor.
But as Intence said it is unique and 1 off a kind
I just wanted to stay with the V6 I love these
motors.
I have another crank but need the rods and pistons
for the motor this one is 4.0 stroke
I may do some more to it this spring I am still
coming up short on the 300 hp I was shoting for.
Dodgeboy, I know the reason I did not notice the
rod size diff the stroker crank and rods are the
wider ones really never compaired them when I tore
it down to stroke it was just to excited to see
the resaults and did not pay any attention.
Riped it apart plastiguaged all the mains and rods
and had it in the truck running the same day by
midnight I hit the key

i know you were talking about s/c before but i think you would be kinda dissappointed with them.
also, when tax time comes, i think i am gonna put a 4" stroke on my 400 BB. that would be about 472 cubic inches... would that be too much?? ;-)

Here I was hoping to get about 200 rwhp, I still my make it, but as some point you reach a point of dimishing returns for the amount of money spent. I just put a fastman 46mm on my truck. I still have the roller rockers to get in and a larger set of exhaust manifolds. Finding time to work on the truck, with all the other commitments makes it diffcult. But I stive to continue on. My daily driver has been the 92 4x4 5.2 liter v8. The 97 I have has been my "tinker truck", I really enjoy working on both of these trucks. After reading all the posts about the 92 and 93 being the best year of daks for factory hp. I be keeping mine for a while.

I may go turbo not sure what I will do next on that truck.
Check out PAW Automotive Warehouse they have a
couple stroker kits for the 400 dont remember
what cubic inches they all were I beleave 472
was one of them, crank pistons, rods and bearings
for around $1500 $1800
We will be looking at some 400 stroker options for
the 69 supe bee or the 67 440 sitting in my garage
waiting to be rebuilt
some day I might even get all these motors done my
400 just needs the intake and carb and it will be
ready to drop in the 63 polara convert.
I also have the 92 V6 sitting there waiting for
me to get the 4.0 stroker crank in.
When you get old I guess things just don't get
done as fast

dont worry larry... i aint old and i never finish anything.
i dont know... i might keep the 400 a 400 and just make it rev happy. Its got a good stroke for that. First thing i need to get rid of is the factory plugs... 8.2:1 compression??? ahh!!!!
97slow,
100 shot, weight reduction (no i didnt strip the interior), ladder bars, coilovers, drag shocks... etc etc.
