roomate is a mechanic does all the work hinmself and put only ~$1400 into 99 3.9 V6 reg cab auto. Dyno's at ~290HP with ~300lb/ft. No NOS no supercharger. 3.91 Gears. Will blow doors off of GT's and Z28's. This is my motivation....my 2 cents

I don't have to tow with my mustang, I still have my Dakota. As for the other ass monkey, get real!!!! A 3.9 getting 290 hp 300lbs of TQ and beating GTs and Z28s???? What world do you live in????? AND to top it off its an Auto!!!! you have me laughing right now!!!!! Get Real Monkey Boy!!!!!

I come into the V6 forum to look at a couple of old posts and I see a guy bragging about a GT, first of all what a girly car what color did you get purple. Anyways I think you need to give ur daddy back his keys and stop trying to say that a V6 Dakota isnt worth modding, at least these guys and myself are out there working on a vehicle that can do more than just go fast. My final thought is don't come to this forum and brag about a FORD becasue soon it will break guranteed.

So far the only thing you can come up with is that a mustang gt is faster then a v6 Dakota. Now it really doesn't take a whole lot of intelligence to figure that out.
Did I mention that my six cylinder, 540 cubic inch, Dakota can cruise at 157 mph all day long? Try that with your stupid little slow azz mustang.

540 CI??? that is an impressive number for a V6!!! My 289 CI will cruise at around 150mph for a long time.....So let me see... Twice the displacement and only 7mph faster!!!!! Wait until I get my 1.7 KB supercharger...Then we will see what my Top End is.....

You guys need to chill out. I still own a damn Dakota. I was here to just voice my opinion, and I got flamed!!!!! If I do recall I still have my 02 Dodge Dakota 3.9 V6 with mods that would beat alot of people on here in a race. You need to understand where i'm coming from and get your head out of your asses!!!!!!!! I've spent some money on this damn truck and I am not satisfied. Just because I didn't come on here and say the dakota was the best truck ever made does not make me a loyal fan of the Dakota......

I can also go 800 miles, non-stop, at 157 mph. On occasion I've hit speeds in excess of 175 mph. No matter what you put in that pissy azz little car, you will never keep up with me in the long run. I've beat both a Porche and a Vette in a race from St. Paul to Duluth MN. The poor guy in the Vette got himself a ticket for doing 110 in a 65. Even with a head start it was no contest for them.

There are a lot of trucks faster than a v6 Dakota but he bought one thinking it might be fast. There are a lot of cars faster than a stang but he bought one thinking that it would be fast.
