Hey guys
I don't know how you guys are faring with these gas prices but is it just me or is this getting a tad rediculous? up here (Houghton Mi) the price of gas is $2.40 for unleaded, $2.60 for 93. And my low fuel light is on.

i haven't seen it that bad here in LA(the state) but it is bad enough for me to start driving my wife's Protege for my 45 mile daily commute. She drives my dak about 4 miles a day.

If it doesn't get any better I'll be driving the wifes 4 banger grand am for my 45 mile round trip commute. I filled up my dak's 22 gallon tank from empty for $2.06 a gallon. $45! Yikes!

We went through this in the '80s. Adjusted for inflation, gas is still cheaper than it was then. Do a little goggle search and see for yourself.

it ain't coming back down much, if at all. yes there is some speculation driving up prices, but the biggest concern is China. there are 1B people there and very few cars (on a percentage basis). once their standard of living goes up, watch out. millions and millions and millions of new cars on the road all needing gasoline...

I paid $2.59 a gallon today for 87 and this was self serve. Stay away from the Bay Area.

it's $2.15 for unleaded 87, $2.25 for 89, and i can't remember for 93. thats here in south alabama. i went to tennessee during spring break, started out at $2.03 for 87 up there and by the end of the week it was about $2.13. i got about 17.5 mpg for my daily city driving when i babied it and kept it under 2000 rpm's. i was saving up for another mod or two but looks like it's going to be out the picture with my gas budget like it is. time to start riding my crotch-rocket more or just ride a bike. too bad those cant tow anything.

In Washington State, Puget Sound Area gas prices for regular are from 2.25 to 2.45 for regular unleaded.

The local newspaper has an article about Washington State Senators want to raise gas taxes 15c a gallon to finance road projects. They would phase in a 3c a gallon tax this summer and go up from there.

I think we need to plan a single day with the entire country where NOBODY drives one mile. Then we would have a surplus of fuel and prices would drop.

Hey George why don't we got out to my place in Wyoming and do some fishing. By the way, I need to stop and see all my buddies at Haliburton. One of the told that the price of a has to reach 75.00 a barrel before we can start drill'in in Alaska. That would make gas about 3.50 a gallon.
