i was woundering if anyone had 22's on their dak? If so do you have ne pictures? I have a black 02 quad cab that im thinkin about puttin 22's on..... opinions?

People are already having enough troubles running 20's on their trucks without rubbing with even the stock suspension or basic drops... I'm sure you could find some sort of ratio to work on a 22 but you'd almost have to go with a 20 or 25 series tire, might as well just paint some rubber on the rims at that point.

the smallest DOT aproved tire made is a 30 series. i dont know why anyone would have problems putting 20's on a stock truck. there is PLENTY of room.
a 22 is only 1" bigger from the hub to the lip of the rim, and that can easily be taken out of the sidewall of the tire to make it work.

Taking 1" out of a 3.5-4" sidewall is HUGE. 22s maybe on a 4x4 that has a tall tire to begin with, but on a regular Dak or an R/T would be a problem, especially if lowered. 20s w/ a 27" tall front tire here. I wouldn't want to try anything less on a street driven truck.

i am running a 255/35/20 with a 4/6 drop. my OD is about 27" if i didnt drop the truck, i could add the 4" to the tire (2" on the sidewall) on a 20" wheel. on a 22" wheel i would still have more sidewall than what i have now on my 20's

i just joined so i will be putting the pics of it all on soon. The undercarriage is awsome and would really help, cant' wait to test it. the only problem is it lifts too much on a bumpy freeway. with that ass-bounce it skips the front also, only over about 95 or so, but get a smooth road and it's killer, less weight and it pushes the ass down to hook up better

Whats up BlackDak20. I'm currently rolling on 20x8.5 in the front and 22x10 in the rear. I have a 2/4 western chassis drop on my 01 R/T. You can run 22's in the front, but not on a daily driver. They will rub the hell out of your inner fenders. You will have to do some cutting if your truck is lowered. I run the 20's in the front because I did not want to cut me fenders, plus I think it gives my truck more of a hot rod look.

drgnrt... i beg to differ. you obviousy have the wrong specs on your wheels if you cant run them without rubbing... i have seen tony's truck in person, and he has no problems at all...yes he has 22's all the way around

Ive had 22's on my 02 cc dakota for about 4 months with 285/35/zr22 nittos.Ive got no problems with anthing rubbing.and there badder than any 20s.Im also getting ready to lowerer it 2/4 without any cutting and it not a 4x4.

if you have a plazma cutter, anything is possible.
i have seen a S10 body dropped on 24's, so i would say it is possible to lay a dakota frame on 22's
