I'm almost positive that they ship from AZ. The only truck that has it installed is also in AZ. I will have it installed hopefully next weekend but I'm in Texas.

Hey truckinsuspension.com man.
How about making some 3in lift spindles for early Daks. I know of 5 people who have expressed intrest in them. So I am sure there is enough business out there to make some good $$$. Espically since you would have a total monopoly on it. Come on man, somebody has to do it. I need another 3inches to run at least 33s.
Thanks.

Hey man, dont get hard on me dude. I have done plenty of research on this truck. Its a 1990 dakota 2wd V6 ext cab. I have been in contact with Cali. motor sports about custom fabing some 3in lift spindles for my ride. But they must have my OEM spindles to do it. My truck is a daily driver so I cant go for a month without it. I have also talked to AIM about doing the spindles. a year ago it was schedualed for Jan. 02. Now they have said they probably wont start for a while. Thats why I have asked this question here to Ian trying to sell the truckinsuspension stuff. I wanyt a nother 3in of lift.. Help.
Joe E.
Does anybody know in what year Dodge changed spindle designs? I am wondering if my 90' Dodge could use either ram spindles or gen II or III Dak spindles. Thanks.

Hey Joe ...

If the company just needs your spindles to custom fab you some new ones, why not just buy a set of OEM spindles for them to play with? Boneyard or something.

Adam I have bad news for you. You can get a body lift for a 1988 Dakota for about $200-250. Thats your only option. I have emailed and called everywhere in the nation for a suspension lift and it does not exist...... unless someone out there can find one and let me know where it is.

You don't want it.

If your head is on your shoulders.. and you don't have unlimited funds.. or are a master mechanic.. you don't want it..

Everyone including me.. that I know that's done this lift has sold there truck within 4 months.. me being the one that has kept it the longest.

I threw my drive shaft on the freeway.
Toasted all 4 u-joints.
Broke my trany.
killed my torsion bars
replaced my front brake lines twice
replaced my uper control arms
replaced my tie-rod ends
replaced a half-shaft
replaced a front drive shaft
replaced a rear drive shaft ... grr. that one pissed me off
I think that's it but it's 10 pm and I'm TIRED so I'm sure I'm missing something..

STAY AWAY FROM TRUCKIN' SUSPENSION or AIM Industries or Chassis Tech or Blow Jack or Puma Sales or what ever they are calling them selves today.

Hey knobbby mine is holding up fine and I have no probs and the place that put it in has found no probs cause I took it uop there the other day they could look at it and make sure everythnig was still ok and they said it was. I think that maybe you just got a bad lift and are telling everyone else not to get it because you got a bad one. I say go for it, mine looks sweet and rides good. You can also fit 34" under it unlike all those guys that have a body and only 33"s hahaha

Chad .. you have a differen't year. The lift you have was copied off the Tuff-Country Lift.

You also don't have Rack & Pinion steering.

Chad there is no way I could fit 34's .. I could bairly fit 33's and I was still rubbing on the frame and the brackets from the lift.

I'm glad you haven't had any problems I just haven't seen any good results from that company. I'd really be intrested in seeing alot of your lift and closeups of the front end.

Like I've said before.. If you do decide to go with ANY lift.. Make sure the company that you buy the lift from and the shop that installs it is going to be held responsible for ALL problems that are caused by that lift including cost of parts & labor to fix those problems. If that is covered then I say go for it... Just make sure they don't butcher your poor truck in the process.

Unless I have missed something Chad has a 2000 model truck that has the r&p steering just like ours. If his really is holding up I would like to know and see some pics because NOONE ELSE is gonna make a lift for our trucks! I have called them all, the big names anyways and they say theres not enough interest. So Chad, if in fact your truck is holding up how about taking some close ups for us to show us a bit more about this lift.

OPINIONS ARE LIKE....WELL, YOU KNOW THE REST!!

Hmmmm .... 'most makes sense to go that route.

If ya can't clear at least a 35" tire with a susp lift I just don't see the point to forkin' out that much more cash.

But to each his own ...

p.s. BTW Knobby I'm just catchin' up on old posts ... sorry to hear the Dak had to go! Good luck with yer lil car man!

Sorry, Knobby dude no shop is going to give you a parts and labor guarantee like that ..when you modify a vehicle in such a way YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN ask Dodge if they are going to honor your warranty after you lift it and beat the crap out of it off road,Face it bro all trucking did was give you what you asked for unfortunately you got a whole lot more than that!! I'm sorry for you but in your case that's the way the DAKOTA crumbled...

Scott :-) your the first to get that point..

Truckin-Suspension told me that they would.. But then again I haven't heard from them since the 3rd problem with the lift I reported.

The shop if they custom build the lift should warrentee it. Otherwise I wouldn't do it. b/c that's just BS if they don't.. I could lift your truck 10" if I'm not going to give a warrentee.. it'll fall apart as soon as you get out of my drive way though.

rivermaniac - The red one was sold long before I sold mine. I think it was actually posted on E-bay but I'm not 100% sure.

I recently installed the truckin suspension lift in my truck and I love it. I fit 35" BFG's on it and it looks great. I ordered the lift even after all the bad things I heard about the kit. I figured if there were some low quality pieces I would custom make some new ones. It took me and two other guys about 12 hours to install it. After an alignment it drove just as good as it did before. Everybody out there that hasn't had any dealings with truckinsuspension needs to stop saying any bad things about them. Knobby, it seems to me a lot of the problems you had with your truck had nothing to do with the lift itself. And the fact that you blew out u-joints and driveshafts had to do solely on the fact that you put a lift in your truck. It has nothing to do with the quality of the kit. The fact is, if you lift an IFS truck you need to drop the differential. There is no way of getting around this. This WILL change the u-joint angle. There are some half ass fixes for this but with shorter wheelbase vehicles there is no perfect solution. It seems to me there are a lot of people on this site that know nothing about suspension lifts or vehicles in general and are just playing follow the leader when they warn people about truckin suspension. How pathetic that they feel the need to slam a company just to justify putting a body lift. Body lifts are JUNK. They are for people with no money or time to actually work on their truck. I guess no one mentions the problem with body lifts. So I guess I will. The frame hanging below the cab is ugly. Bumpers need to be raised. Problems with shifters, ground straps, radiator shroud/fan clearance. The gap between the box and frame. Everything about them is cheap. Oh yeah, why does everyone call them 5.2 liters, are you european trash? are you an import racer. Real men talk cubes. I haven't taken any pictures of my truck yet, but I'll be sure to as soon as possible. By the way, I live in Minnesota so no connection to Truckin suspension. 97 Dakota 4x4 x-cab, 318.
