My God Ford People are stupid.... Rick says,...--"The lightning only has 35hp more at 380hp and absolutely romps over your dodges. Go buy and install your kenne bell blower and I'll just go buy a smaller pulley, chip, K&N intake, and exhaust and romp on that too. Oh, and dont even get me started on that over priced joke you all call the SRT10. Face it boys and girls, Dodge took the backseat to Ford a long time ago and they are gonna stay there"..... BAAAAAAAHHHHHAHAH. If I do that to a HEMI. Not only will I still have about 10K left in my pocket, I will get about 600 HP And Spank the valve clattering heads off that Blue oval piece of sh$t, F@#$%ing Moron, You Red neck morons will never learn no matter how many times you shoot yourself in the foot or get your asses kicked on the track. We did in in the 60s with our 426 Wedges even before the HEMI's, A HEMI is Just so Far out of your Oil Burning, Lumber wagon driving, big gay oval looking, WANNABEE DODGE Truck. YOU SHOULD'NT EVEN ATEMP TO PRETEND TO BEAT ONE IN YOUR FORD LOVING DREAMS LITTLE RICKY. Your Not good enough to look at a HEMI let alone own one so just let us Dodge Boys keep the trophies and you can keep dumping your money into pieces of sh$t continuously as we drive The most sought after, copied, and envied vehicles that we ever made cant blame'em i guess. (In-breads), They also think they have a real diesel. BAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

OH I forgot you think an F-150 I a real truck too........ I did forget to mention, (Ford Moment) There would be no Ford if they didnt have Dodge to copy off of in the last 90 Years. If you have assessed any reaserch in history of trucks at all you will see how Dodge Has led the way in just about every single truck advancement.... Oh Boy Little Ricky wow you really show your competence pertaining to Trucks by saying, "If It sells Good, IT MUST BE GREAT".... TYPICAL FORD DUMB F^CK, I guess you bought the entire tella tubby collection as well, Not to mention you must think Craftsman tools are the best...... You keep on truckin Blue Oval Valve clattering Boy,..... ;) Your gonna have to talk sh$t about the Dodge HEMI all you can because you will never have anything that will come close to equaling it, Especially your new triple valve clatter sh$t box.. Even though your piece of sh$t company did try to copy it in the 60s. Sorry but its ours,.... BAAAAAAHAHHAAHAAA You must be a liberal, heheeeheheheheheeeeeee Terrorists love you, you make it possible for them to be.

aight, im a dodge fan and want a hemi ram, but ill still give it to you straight, stock lightning kills a hemi in the quarter. hate to break it to ya, went to the track last week and watched it happen over and over. still i'd take the hemi for looks and not having a blue oval. btw, chevys suck, unless u drop a dodge engine in, nah, still wouldnt buy it.

SRT10 tho, lightnings can take a seat, theres a new king in town.

who's talking about the SRT10 v the Lightning?
500HP(SRT) > 380HP(FORD)
6sp Man > whatever?
not that it really matters b/c of the cylinder difference.
By the way Fordies, why does Ford build S/C engines? Can they not get enough N/A power out of them?
And who's the moron that said a supercharged engine is more efficient than a breather? Everyone knows that a supercharger is a pump powered by the engine (and therefore robs some power from it) which in turn forces more air into the engine which requires more fuel to properly combust. Now how can such a setup be more efficient? It does take power to turn the blower.
Am i just privileged enough to have graduated high school and understand basic principles such as inequalities and mild physics?
however, to give the moron credit, i think he meant to say that a supercharged engine will produce more power/displacement than an N/A engine. But what can you expect from an uneducated truck buyer?

LTU Dak, your entire post is an excellent example of terrible logic. You accuse Ford of building S/C engines b/c they cannot get enough power out of NA engines. This is ridiculous. The use a s/c because they found it to be the best way to create the kind of power they were looking for. Blowers do take power to turn, but they produce significantly more power. You brag of your excellent high school level ability to understand inequalities, yet it seems to have gone over your head that overall superchargers make MORE power, not less. You also criticize some supposed "moron" when he stated that superchargers make engines run more efficient. You strongly disagree with him, and then you say that superchargers create more power for the displacement of an engine. As far as I am aware this is an excellent measure of an engine's efficiency. I’m not sure how you could have proved his point any better.

In closing, yes I believe you are "privileged" to have graduated high school. With your contradictory & discombobulated logic, you should feel extremely "privileged" that you graduated elementary school.

I am a Dodge fan from way back. I built and raced every engine from the 225 slant six to the 426 Hemi. Some n/a some s/c'd. Even did a few Chevys and Fords. Today, I am still a dodge fan, but drive a Ford Truck. WHY? The Dealership! In my market area, there are 2 of everything, and both Dodge dealers, for the last 15 years, have been owned and operated by people that I prefer not to deal or associate with. One of the Ford dealers, however, beleives in customer service, and proves it in actions, not words....so...I've been driving Ford Trucks, and quite honestly, they've all been very good.
NOW - One of the Dodge dealers has changed ownership, my lease is up in 6 months, the new owner is much like the Ford dealer, I'm looking at the new Dodge Trucks. Through my Ford era, I have lost touch with Dodge, so came here looking for good user information on the 5.7L Hemi. Unfortunately for me, I mis-understood the Forums Heading and thought this was where I would find such information, but it seems that this is a thread for Flaming Ford, Chev, and person that doesn't currently own a Dodge of any type or engine.
Where can I find the user experience postings regarding the 5.7L Hemi as to how well it performs under every day conditions. With the maximum troque at over 4000 rpm, I expect that it is not the most fuel effiecent engine when driving down the highway in OD where the RPM is likely in the 2200rpm range. ---OR--- is the torque curve so flat that the engine is at 80% under these real life conditions. How does this relate to trailer towing? Can I pull my 6000Lb trailer in 6th? or 5th or 4th? How does the automatic trans work with this new engine in a working environment. Is it like most automatics that keep shoving me back to the manual world, or is it worth consideration. How well does this new Hemi start at -35F when there is no place to plug it in at night?
Yes, I'm very serious about the new Dodge Trucks, and very interested in the Hemi, but have yet to find some real good information about it.
Your assistance in this area could convert a Ford Truck owner to a Dodge truck owner.
