Oh yeah I remember seeing that. It makes it look really easy. Some other member on there or Dak-Dango put a remote mount on their Durango. Guy did a pretty good job and he said because of the turbo size he got it spooled up almost immediately. The remote mount would definitely be the easiest way to go. But since I got my intercooler I might as well finish up the front mount.

I heard something cool today I'm gonna try when I get my turbo on. I'm going to put dry ice in the water resevoir and intercooler to help cool my charges at the track. You guys think it will work?

When I get done with my manifold I'll post pics. If you guys want, and if its any good, I'll make some extras.

Yeah if you can use a water to air intercooler that would help when you crank the boost.

If you get some pictures, upload to photobucket. Then sign up and post in my personal forum here so we can look at it and talk about it...

I wish pictures worked here again. Seems like it's been over a year now since Mark gave up and turned off the good stuff ;(

Yeah dude, I've almost got the manifold cut(I'm using a hacksaw when I go out to have a cigarette to cut the manifold so its taking a while) so I'll post pictures of what I have so far tonight and you can give me your ideas. For right now I'm going to use a T coming off of the manifold so I can attach my wastegate.

Pics up tonight.

Oh thats the next step. After I get the turbo on and working I'll get to to tuning. I'm not going to run more than 7lbs of boost right now so I'm not too worried about the tuning. The SCT will be nice because I can use a 2 or 3 bar map sensor instead of the check valve system.

Well I signed up to hackfreehvac.com and it said it would be 24 before I could post so I'll put some pics up tomorrow. I just got the hole cut and it's 2.725 sq. inches so I'll be transitioning that into a 2.5 pipe up to the turbo.

LOL, I was wondering how the forum would do the registering once I made it more of a pain in the A$$ to sign up.
But I had to. Otherwise I had daily SPAMBOT's signing up and posting viagra knock off meds all day long! :(

So it makes you wait 24 hrs?

Did you have to enter a code to get it to work as well?

I looked and don't see a manual way to change your status. But if crshan is you, it shows as a member.

So far it doesn't show your username. Maybe you need to finish the registration or something.

I'm tired myself. Got home from the Killswitch Engage/Lamb Of God concert around midninght then had to be off for work early this morning.

Word! How was the concert? I didn't even know that they were in town.

If I can't get up on hackfreehvac, I'll post the pics up on Dakusa.com.

I only have the one picture of the manifold with a hole in it right now.

I was trying to practice welding last night but my wire wasn't coming out fast enough. I pulled off the tip and found the old wire wrapped around the new wire I put in and it was slowing the wire feed. At first I just thought I really sucked, but we'll see tonight:)
I finally got my wastegate the other day too. Its a 40mm so it should be big enough.

All right dude, I finally got the pictures up on Dakusa. I put the link to the thread below. I've also got pictures of my A/F meter in its temporary location.

The manifold is 2.75 square inches so I'm going to take a 2.75" pipe and beat it into shape and then cut it to match perfectly.

I tried welding with a mig last night for the first time and its not that hard. This weekend if I have time I'll start work on the up pipe for the manifold.

Comments, questions or concerns?

Yeah I bought the concert tickets MONTHS ago.
I took my 12 yr old daughter with me.
This is her second time seeing Lamb Of God, but much better sounding this time and we were only two rows from the pit area!

The concert was bad a$$. Them two guitarists in lamb Of God are riffing masters. It's hard to watch their fingers.

Here are some examples of that band. Truley bad a$$! The singer (more like a vocalist who gargles concrete before each show!) but the guitarists and drummer are very good.

Check that one out after the first minute once they start doing the 'sweep arppegios"

Thats totally awesome that you were able to pass emissions. Thanks for the update dude. Lets get together one weekend.

rammer, 1hot, graphite,

I'd really like to turbo my QC, 4.7, 01.

It has ~132,000 miles though, still runs awesome, no oil use or leak, etc.

But it's a lower priority for me now with a 7 y/o child with autism. Very high functioning, he's a great, really cool kid.

No sweat Todd. I just hit 135K and no oil use and great gas mileage. So you still have a little while. Start piecing it together right now and by next year you might be done. I started buying my stuff last August and I still need a few things.

One day dude.

Autistic kids are very smart in some areas dude. You should make him a turbo prodigy and blow banks outta the water in a few years. Good luck nonetheless.

1hotdak,

Are you going to run larger injectors?

And,

what did you mean by blowing banks out of the water?
