Subject: Truckin Suspension Scam!
IP: Logged

Message:
heh yea 0.

Ok here's a update for all of you guys.. Truckin-Suspension will no longer work with me on this.. Ian just hung up on me saying they want the lift back from me.

I do NOT! recommend working with them at all on anything. Unless you SEE not talk to but SEE there product installed on someone else’s truck and you want the exact same product.

They paid Michael Briant the $500 for the install.... Which if I remember correctly wasn't done correctly or finished for that matter. He left when he cut off the wrong brackets in the rear.

Truckin-Suspension also sent me Black Powercoated Nerf Bars which.. the powder coat is falling off of. The actual bars look good and feel good but the powder coat sucks. I also didn't order Black bars.. I wanted Raw.

Truckin-Suspension will not help me find another installer and they won't pay or help pay to move my truck to a install shop. They also won't pay that install shop or work with them to fix this problem. They got there $1300 and are now running.

If anyone has any questions or comments about this.. please post.. I'd love to hear them... Yes.. even the "I told you so".. just because I want to see EVERYONES comments.

Basically they won't help me out cost wise for the install.. they won't get there installer back there... and the nerf bars that they sent me were black instead of Raw (if anything I'd think they wanted to save $$ and not powder coat them at all).

You know, it says a lot when a company wont stand behind there product or services. I'll leave my thoughts at that for now. Knobby, sorry to hear they are screwing you over this way. At least you tried.

What's gonna happen to the Dak now? It's sure not driveable now, and as I recall, there was a lot of hacking and slashing done.

Did you have any kind of contract/agreement with them on the deal? Have you considered legal action against the company?

Knobby,
Sorry buddy. I sure do appreciate you going through the trouble of dealing with Ian and his brilliant company and keeping us posted on this. I almost made the mistake of buying from them. I'll be sure to pass all of your info and posts along, regarding Truckin' Suspension, to my wheelin' buds at Randy's Ring 'n Pinion, Central 4 wheel Drive and TrailReady. They'll get the word out to stay away from these fools. We'll have to get any other info from you, that you can give us, about Ian and these guys so they don't move or start up another place.

It's really too bad we have American businesses like this one. Kind of tarnishes the name.
Don't worry, Knobby, we'll get 'em soon enough.

Let us all know if there's anything we can do to help get you back on the road.

GOOD luck Knobby!!

And, it's definitely NOT doing anything good for Truckin Suspension's reputation. Bad news travels fast. They've dropped the ball ... they had the ultimate first timer, being you, to help them work the kinks out of their lift. You went way above and beyond what most of us would have done. It's really too bad that they're bailing on you in the middle of your project.

I'd bet the Better Business Bureau would like to hear about your experience. ;o\

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya Knobster!

Knobby- you had a pair of giant brass balls to try that lift in the first place, and I commend you for stepping up. Hope you get your baby back on the road soon 8^)

Ian- wherever you are... You dropped the ball big-time my friend. In a few months, when Junkin' Suspension or Crappy Tech or whatever you are calling yourselves this week has gone tits up, and you and your bunch of half-aresed hacks are in the unemployment line or out hustling for a new job, you will have only yourselves to thank. And you won't have a chance to go back in time to when you had a knowledgeable truck owner at your disposal who bought and promoted your product for free, and even after you didn't hold up your end of the bargain he had nothing but good things to say about you, because you said you would help him work it out. Then you leave him high and dry with a damn near $30k truck out of commission on jack stands. Any regrets, chump? Knobby will get his truck fixed, but you will never, ever do business with me or anyone who can hear or read what I have to say about you. Oh, you make lifts for Rams, Fords and GM too? Well I think we would all like to make a point of visiting our truckin' comrades boards and share this little experience with them. You should truly be ashamed of yourselves.

Just to let the truth be known. The ball has not been dropped. We are still here to fulfill our commitment. What we wont do is spend 2 hours a day being cussed at and whined to. Simply inorm us of the problem and we will fix it. I still stand behind our installation partner in Dallas who does very good work. He was not allowed to perform the work in his own shop with his own tools. He also refuses to work for any one who threatens to kick his ass. When our kits are installed in the proper shop with the proper tools everything goes the way it is supposed to. Yes being a new kit there are bound to be some errors. The kit was sold with that being known. We overnight corrected parts to the installation shop when this happens.

We are still correcting the parts for knobbyman. Unfotunately he would not allow the install to happen in a proper shop and he ruined the deal with our installer in dallas. That is out of our control.

Our dakota kits are brnad new. They have not been fully tested. We do have a few trucks with the kits now and are getting good data on the kits.

This is advice for you when buying our kits or anyone elses. Only have them installed in a legitimate installation shop, not your front yard, unless you are extremely experienced in truck suspension, manufacturing, and welding.

Alright Ian, I still feel you are full of sh_t. It doesnt matter whether it is in a front yard or a shop. The tools needed were there, and your installer should understand why Knobby may have threatened to kick his a$$. Putting a $30K truck under the knife for a under developed lift is ballsy. If I were you I would get that installer back up to KNobby's house and get him crankin. Knobby should have been drivin that thing weeks ago.

Like the others on this board said, your probably gonna have a lawsuit unless you make this whole situation right. And it would be better for you to get it done rather quickly. Guess I wont be buying your lift this summer.

Read the post a few up that says your truck will have to be left in the shop for a month and a half for a custom suspension. We have provided a custom suspension without the luxury of having the truck in our shop. Phone contact is all we have and have to deal with ups in between which will delay everything further. We will still correct any parts to the specs relayed to us, but without the truck in our possession there is not much we can do. We are still correcting knobbymans parts, that was our commitment.

So Ian .. Overnighted? You said you sent out replacements for my replacements on Friday it's Tuesday.. They should be have been here yesterday? Unless you didn't get them on the truck until late.. Then they should get here today.. We'll see what happens.

Ian I'm still confused who got the $500 install?

How much does Mike weigh? How much do I?

Hint.. somewhere over 200 & 138.. He's taller older and bigger.. Who'd kick who's ass?

Who didn't bring the instructions?

Who ruined my driveway?

Who didn't bring the correct tools?

Who paid for Michaels tools? (Me)

Why did Michael even attempt to install the lift at my house if it wasn't possible?

I just hope you read my e-mail before you sent out the replacements replacemnt parts. Because all the information on how to fix your parts was in there.. and you sent 3 out of 4 parts incorrectly.

Not that they were modified incorrectly... they were the WRONG PARTS! I even sent pictures. How can you send the wrong parts if I explain what they are and include pictures?

BTW Ian .. update your webpage it still shows 3 4.5" lifts for dakota/durangos

Ian ...

I believe you shot yourself in the foot when you started selling "production" kits on your websites without even having tested the kits. Why don't you perfect the developemental kits before trying to pass them off as production?

Did you ever correct dpkerns alignment issues? Or answer the question as to why longer brake lines were not included with the 6.5" or 9.5" kits? I mean, come on, who lifts a truck 6" or more and doesn't consider the fact that the brake lines aren't gonna be long enuff?

A lot of us have been sitting back and watching this whole thing develope. Waiting to see how Truckin Suspension would handle themselves.

Now, instead of being classed with the Ranchos, Trailmasters, and Superlifts of the world ---- you're kinda lumped in with Whiplash.

You're gonna have to go that much further now to prove yourselves. All I can say is ... good luck!

Well Ian, I'm just curious why Knobbymans having so many problems if you've got this same kit on other trucks. Common sense would say to fix parts before you sell anything else. The kit should be a bolt on process. Either things were made correctly or they were not. Seems a bit contradicting to me and I'm no scholar.

IAN,
You should be very willing to help Eric after all of the trouble he has gone to. He wants a lifted truck and you want to sell lifts. Figure it out!! *YOU* NEED TO go above and beyond to fix this fast or you will never sell your lifts. That would include finding someone to install the lift as promised. Knobby was very clear that he would have the lift installed in his driveway from the beginning. You can't say that is the reason for failure now. If someone didn't follow the instructions on a "Brand New Lift" and cut off the wrong things, then they shouldn't have been paid! I would be a little upset also. I work in customer service and am speaking from experience. Also, can you provide tracking numbers so the receiver is assured that the parts are shipped?????

I may be mistaken .. but I'm the only one with the 4.5" kit and dpkerns is the only one with the 6.5" kit. No one has the 9.5" kit yet.

Also My brakes lines are tight.. It looks like they are ok.. but TIGHT! I'm going to replace mine with some Stainless Steel ones anyway so I'm not to worried about it. But yes I agree they should be included.

Also the problems with my kit all should have been addressed with the 6.5" kit. No matter what the height the same problem remains. The rear shackle hanger should have been the correct size to fit a shackle into that wouldn't change. And the size of the front Differential won't change depending on the height of the kit. The only thing that might change is the Torsion Bar Cross Member but they are sending me new brackets to drop down the cross member instead of fixing the cross memeber it self. Well we'll see what happens. I'll be @ my house waiting for a package from UPS today.. We'll see if it arives.. I have .. alittle faith.
