 Subject: P0442, P0711 Codes

I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota 3.9 V6 Automatic. 80K miles. My question is-- I checked to see if there were any codes and it came up with a P0442 "EVAP emission control system" and P0711 code "Transmission Fluid temperature sensor circuit, range or performance." What does this mean and what do I need to do to fix or correct it? Thanks!
Note. The Malfunction Indicator Light comes on and remains on while driving.

On the P0442 code, make sure your gas cap is tight, if it is, the gas cap could be bad. That would most likely solve that problem. I don't know too much on the P0711 code though.

Had P0441 before, that was a large emissions system leak. Was EVAP purge pump, cost 125$.
P0442 is the medium leak. Check the gas cap tightness, make sure the seal is still in good condition, and check for cracked hoses in the emmissions system.
