I am a Rhino Dealer in Colorado, and can say I have seen the worst of all the liners. If you are in the market, you need to do a little research on the people involved in the application of these products..They can all be sprayed to look however a person requests. I would ask to see a scrap book of prior work or a finished product on site..Always look at the lines and trim work, if these are poor in quality more than likely this dealer will cut corners..99% of all bed liner failures is because the prep work was done incorrectly. If any of you have any questions feel free to e-mail us at (RhinoLiningsofFlatirons@msn.com) Maybe we can help you make a informed decision

I’m still looking, but LINE-X DOES offer nationwide warranty. I found the following at: http://www.line-x.com/

The LINE-X Franchise Development Corporation has recently announced that, effective January 1, 2002, LINE-X franchisees will offer a limited nationwide warranty for their spray on truck bedliners. JB Burtin, LINE-X President says, "At LINE-X, we believe in protecting our customers with both our products and our service. When a customer buys a LINE-X bedliner, they know that it's backed by the LINE-X Corporation and their LINE-X dealer."

I had a Rhino liner and loved it ... except for the fact that it faded horribly. They will sell you a $3 bottle of Armor All for $13 which you have to re-apply every month .... and it doesn't really do much. If they can't figure out the U.V. problem, I'll go elsewhere for my next liner. I know it's a little thing, but who wants a truck that looks like hell after 2 years in the sun?

when you polish/wax your truck, how does it interact with the lining it may come into contact with? (like if you're polishing/waxing the bedside and you get some on the over-the-rail lining)

also, anyone have any experiences with either lining in a desert environment? gets 115+ here in the summer, surface temps are ridiculously higher than that, with killer UV year-round.

I live in the northeast, and mine faded badly
from the suns U.V. rays. Unless they have fixed that problem, I'd research it a lot before going with a Rhino. And, I am a huge fan of the Rhino liner even though this message may appear as if I am not. A friends liner is now a chaulky off black/gray. It looks like hell!!! If you spend all that money, it should be a least a little more presentable .... for as long as you own it!

I had a Rhino in my 99 Nissan and it DID fade a little in the year it was in there....I liked the "softness" of it but I just had a Line-X sprayed in my 2004 Quad Dakota and it looked better than the Rhino immediately...Also "appears" that it will stand up better to most abuse but won't know for a while I guess. But definitely feel I made the best choice after a few weeks of checking around, asking questions, and viewing various truck owner sites.....So far, I LOVE my line-x, AND here in Austin, they added the RAM at no extra charge...Hope this helps. I have my Second Dak with my Second Rhino Liner and absolutely love it. I live in michigan and we see our fair share of sunshine during the summer and spring and I have never seen my liner fade one bit from the day I got it. The Ziebart store that installed it, was quick, and very cost competetive. I would recommend Rhino to anyone who asked, and everyone that uses my truck or helps me move things says they love the way it looks and love the way it grips things. I move and transport goods for my work everyday in my truck and I love it.

Its durable - I've thrown bricks, shovels, scrap metal, bowling balls, you name it... not one dent or scrape.

It grips - I've taken sharp turns at 35-40 mph squeeling tires and nothing back there budges. Especially cardboard boxes, they stay put.

It looks Great - its easy on the knees and its washable. Oil, gasoline, woodchips, sawdust, garbage gook, pop stains, battery acid, nothing affects it or discolors it.

If your going to put a liner in, put the best and quick being such a cheap bastage. Buy a Rhino, you'll love it.

I like the Morton brand liner which is a harder liner than both
Rhino and Line-X and can be purchased through auto-body
paint suppliers.
Morton holds a dark shiny color for years and is not easily
gouged.
I use a bed mat in the bottom of all my trucks to protect the
liner from sharp objects.

If choosing between Line-X and Rhino I would go with the Line-
X due to the fact that it does not fade near as fast as a Rhino.

Rhino Linings now makes a product that can be applied to make linings look new again. It's called Rhino Shine Ultra.

From the website: "Rhino Shine Ultra maintains the bed liner’s skid-free surface while erasing dulling oxidation and adding shine and color to black and colored sprayed-on polyurethane linings. Available in five standard colors black, graphite grey, flame red, emerald green, and indigo blue the formula also comes in a clear coat version that gives shine to any sprayed-on polyurethane lining.

Consumers can purchase Rhino Shine Ultra in pint sizes from Rhino Linings dealers across the U.S."
