Don't know if the electric fan will work better than a good functioning stock fan.
Anyone else?

What I can recommend is a well maintained cooling system.
Clean and flush your system. Get a Prestone flush kit and use some cleaning chemicals. Follow the instructions.
Be sure to back flush!
Buy your favorite antifreeze AND a bottle of Redline water wetter. Go to Redline's website and read the tech info.
I use and recommend a 60% water and 40% antifreeze, along with the water wetter.

And if your truck doesn't have a transmission cooler, get one.
