I didn't like them.

They didn't work for me either. I lost throttle response and off-idle torque. It would also have a bit of a miss or stumble on occasion. I switched back to 5224s for smooth idle and good throttle response.

I had the same in my 5.9 and I'll say it again. On a stock or close to stock, non pinging engine the 3923 result in a power loss. They move the flame kernel out from the center of the comb. chamber and effectively retard the timing.
I am in the process of testing a new plug, looks promising but I actually have a tank of 93 in it now. Usually I run 87 with just a hint of pinging when WOT or towing uphill.
Now if you ping, the 3923's are an improvement.
AC rapidfires actually didn't work too bad in my 99 5.2.

Try the AR3924's They have 75% less resistance than the standard Autolites. I installed these in my '01 R/T and immediantly noticed a more agressive exhaust tone. The MPG increased very slightly. I have about 600 miles on these plugs,
no ping, no power loss, 87 octane, nothing but GRINS.

I have a set of NGK ZFR5F11 I have to get around to installing. Until they started recommending those godawful expensive iridium plugs, this NGK plug was the one recommended by Kenne Bell for normally aspirated Magnum applications.

Duner said it best folks.....he has good idle and throttle response from the correct Autolite application.

Now, why don't the others take the chance to change out those worn out OEM sparkplugs and install a set of high quality Autolite ignition engineered sparkplugs for your Dakota?

From bumper to tailight, you cannot go wrong with Autolite.

Get either the stock Champs, or AC rapidfires worked well for me or (these are in test mode and looking good) Champ 4412's (truck plug w/projected tip, actually slightly longer than the originals, fits fine in the 5.9 but check it against your originals or check for clearance).
Towing the skiis through WV to Kentucky tomorrow and will see if pinging is gone (so far seems). Will run 87 octane with 6 deg additional timing.
