is the code p 0700? if so P0700 EATX Controller DTC Present This SBEC III or JTEC DTC indicates that the EATX or Aisin controller has an active fault and has illuminated the MIL via a CCD (EATX) or SCI (Aisin) message. The specific fault must be acquired from the EATX via CCD or from the Aisin via ISO-9141. What ever that means

Have you checked the trans fluid level? What was going on when the MIL lit up? Has the code cleared yet? Was/is it running normally or is it in "limp home" mode?

What about the fluid level? Have you tried to reset the PCM (of course, it looks like the error is stored in the TCM) by pulling one of your battery cables and turning the ignition key to 'start' for about 20 seconds? I think that P0700 code is a very general transmission code. You may have had too much transmission slippage while pulling the trailer. A lot of times these codes will come up and won't clear for 3 or 4 start cycles even if the fault condition doesn't exist anymore.

PO700 --- This code will set a DTC code (Diagnostic Trouble Code "DTC") Bring the truck to autozone or someplace and have them read the code with a code reader. This will give you the code of what went wrong. I had a po700 once, code said transmission output speed control sensor. Bought a new one (40$) put it in, problem fixed. As for losing overdrive, as soon aas the code set, the transmission went into "limp home mode" lost 1st gear, overdrive, and trans shifted HARD. This is normal, supposed to act like that. Get that code read, will probably tell you what's wrong.
