I auctually finally after waiting for ever i finally got the truck i wanted. its a 00 QC 4x4 v8. its the sport model but its fully loaded with overhead console and everything. it does have some miles on it like 137k thats y i got it for $9950.
there are some quirks about it i was hopeing i could get some help on. the power locks are kinda screwy they make a loud noise when pushed and theyll lock doors but wont unlock them. sounds like a bad actuator maybe??
plus the overdrive button is gone, is that something i can just get at the dealer and plug it in.
and one of the front shocks squeeks so is it gone?
Ive waiting to get a QC for over a year now so its great to have one.
ive been reading your forums for that whole time so ive done my fair share of searching
any help would be great

cool, hope she runs over 300k or until the wheels fall off, which happens, sometimes to soon!
if the shock is leaking oil its done. when i got my truck it had 145k and i think the shocks were original, oil everywhere, but the truck flew well after the shock replacement, 30ft through the intersection!
not sure on the others...

Hope you enjoy your QC as much as I enjoyed mine! Great truck, I just couldn't personally afford the gas for it anymore with my daily commute. What a great rig though, It would take whatever I dished out to it, and would 4 wheel pretty darn good! Again congratulations!

Seems liek the price was right.
That's less than half of what mine costed new.
If it's paid for, you're ahead of the game.
Now you have money left over to fix it up and do some mods if you want.

I just happened to be surfing and came across this site and your questions. I also have a '00 QC which I bought new. The door locks are poor (I'm being polite since I'm a guest at this site). I have never replaced a door lock on any vehicle I have owned, but on the Dakota I have replaced 3 of the four (and one of the replacements was DOA). The lock replacement is a pain but if you are somewhat mechanically inclined you can do it yourself in about 1/2 hour per door. The locks are not cheap from the dealer so be prepared.
I can't help you on the other questions - sorry.
The QC is an excellent design. I just wish Dodge had put a little more quality into the product. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.
