Switched out the instrument cluster lights this weekend on my 2001 Dak Quad cab (getting the instrument panel off and out was a major ordeal though). Now they won't come on at all. No blown fuses, used the right bulbs (194) and everything seemed to go ok.

Does anyone know if one bad bulb could prevent all 7 lights from coming on? It seems odd that all of them no longer work, esp. since I can't find a blown fuse. They aren't physically connected, other than the fact that they are all in the instrument panel and use the panel itself as the circuit board.

Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem when I switched the O/D and 4wd lights, now neither one works.. Sadly I realized it only when everything was back on..

The only thing I can think of is a bad contact, maybe the circuit board is a little dirty or you need to pry the light's pins a little..

But before that, if your dimmer also controls your radio light, try it and see if it works, if it doesnt you might have a dimmer switch problem..

Hope this help..

I think there may be a strong possibility that your idea about the light's pins could be the answer. I compared the old bulbs that came out with some of the "brothers" of the ones I put in. I could see where the wires would make contact on the old ones but probably not on the new ones. I will give it a shot this weekend and find out.

Thanks very much for the help - it is greatly appreciated.
