Quick Question.
1993 Dodge Dakota 5.2L v8, do i have struts or shocks on the front end. Rancho tells me i got struts, online dealers say i can use rs9000's shocks.... I just need to double check with some people. You guys seem to know your stuff.

Here's how to tell:
1. Know the difference between a shock and a strut.
2. Looky in your fenderwell just inboard your tires.
3. Find a shock absorber there.
3. NO STRUTS ON A 4x4 DAKOTA !!
(now the front suspension is as strong as the Tacoma's)

as far as i'm aware there are no struts on any pick ups. most trucks have coil springs and shocks in the front end now, i've never heard of a strut capable of handling any kind of weight such as a truck.
