Damn. All in one sentence (?)!
And crystal clear, too.
Good job, there kid.

Here's a handy tip for you. If your water pump is leaking, it's time for a new one. I'm sure Dodge, thinking only of its customers, didn't engineer it to be rebuilt.

Just how many water pumps ARE engineered to be rebuilt?

I trashed a water pump when i wrecked my truck go to the autoparts store and buy a remanufactured water pump for 60 bucks.

it may not be the water pump at all there is a heater hose that is hidden under the pump could be a gasket too you will have to undo everything anyway so just take the fan off and inspect the water pump. but one thing is for sure you have a big problem

Compare prices on both new and rebuilt. Sometimes the difference in price is so small you'd be crazy not to buy a new one. Just remember the rebuild is only as good as the jerk doing it.

In my shop, it was learned in a short time remanufactured water pumps are garbage. I gave away more free shop time reinstalling rebuilds it was stupid. I desided anybody insisting on a rebuild had to sign a release stating I was not responsible to replace it if it went bad and they did more often then not.If you are really planing to buy one first have the parts man bring out all that fit your rig for your inspection. You will discover some have no end play. Some have a little and some have a lot. You will also discover some shafts turn really hard, some easier and some very easy. I even found one the shaft wiggled on . this by hand with no blade on it. Bet you do this you also will never even consider one. Doesn't matter where you buy one. The answers are going to be the same

So many problems .... So little time

Hear hear Obio3, man soo truthful. and if you are going to replace the waterpump.. isn't that much further to replace the timing chain. The bypass hose has been mentioned earlier, even if it isn't bad I would replace it with the waterpump. Think I paid like 4-6 bucks at napa.
