I have 1000 dollars to play with. i want to know what kind of mods i could do to give me so decent HP. i already have the cold intake and cat back exhaust. thinking about a mild cam and headers. what else would be a relativly cheap yet somewhat easy install to go along with these mods. oh, almost forgot i have a 97 4x4 318. have a 3in body and want the 3in suspension to sit JUST right!

With all that lift, I would assume you have larger tires. If thats the case, you want gears. 1K should do it for the 4x4.
IMO, there isn't anything you can do to your engine for 1k that will make the difference in acceleration performance. I would assume thats what you want more HP for.

When you do a cam swap there are a lot of other nesessary upgrades

thanks for the info. and yeah, i do have 33 12.50 bf's on stock rims. had to do a little bit of triming. but i do want more hp but would also like to see some acceleration gain. how much do you think it would cost for the cam and all the other upgrades cost installed?
