Can I pour this stuff where the oil goes? I want to clean out my engine but don't want to mess anything up.

you can but have to change the oil in like 100 miles. after all seafoam is a solvent and will break down your oil.

um, you dont have to change after 100 miles. Where did you get that from?

I run it in oil, gas and air intake every oil change.

I just ran some Auto-RX through my oil.

I did some research and found that Sea Foam isn't the best thing for the crankcase but Auto-Rx is alot safer. The Sea Foam is a solvent that thins out the oil in the crankcase whereas Auto-RX is all natural and won't have this effect.

Do a search in the bulletin boards at this site...

Or better yet, this thread is what turned me away from using Sea Foam in the oil...

Auto-RX(ARX)can be found at...
www.auto-rx.com

I still use Seam Foam through the throttle body for a good induction cleaning which it works great for.

I put in the Auto-RX with some Castrol 5w-30w into my heavily pinging 5.2; that was 500 hundred miles ago, the pinging was noticeably gone within the first 10 miles of putting the stuff in. I'll have to change the oil again in 1000 miles; at which time I'll put in dyno oil again and run that for 2000 miles. After that 2000 miles, I do an oil change and it's back to using Mobil One.

I also switched from using the slower flowing Mobil One oil filters for this to using the much higher flow rate Amsoil oil filters. I'll go back to the Mobil One filters when I switch back to the Mobil One oil.

I still had some pinging which is all gone now thanks to the 1/3 of a bottle of Sea Foam that I SLOWLY poured in through the throttle body. I did that yesterday and it is now like I am driving a brand new truck. I bet the inside of that engine is spotless now. lol
