My current "01" 4.7L Dak CC has 118K mi.
My previous 94 DAK V6 3.9 had 213000 when i donated it to the local fire dept. for a fund raiser. It's still on the road as I saw the new owner just two weeks ago. It has 272000 with no changes other than oil and tires.

My 2000 Dakota quad cab has 144,000 on her and on the same engine, transmission, diffs etc. In fact the only work don on my truck was a plastic power seat ram, steering wheel mounted volume control and the drivers side half shaft and stub shaft. I will be replacing the power steering pump, right front window regulator and having the radiator cleaned this week. I know you don't want to hear it but my 1988 Jeep Comanche 4X4 had 320,000 on it when I sold it to my boss. Same engine, transmission and no major work on any of the drive train at all. He drove it three more years and it spun a rod bearing. Sucks to be him. And yes I do still work for him!

Just hit 150,000 today. Rebuilt trans at 80,000 and just did a complete engine performance overhaul on my 97 3.9. New engine is still breaking in.

1993 4x4 with 375,000 miles and counting. The heads were replaced at 235,000, transfer case and rear end at 280,000. New water pump, gears and timing chain at, 250,000. I still get 16 in town and 21 on the road.

I had 217k on my 90 Dak when I traded it in. The biggest thing it needed was a transmission that went at close to 100k. Last I knew it was still on the road with who knows how many miles by now.
Man, I beat the crap out of that truck too.
My 02 QC dak only has close to 40k now. If it turns out to be even half as good of a truck as my old 90 dak I'll be happy.

The 3.9 V6 was introduced to replace the "bulletproof" 225 slant six, as you can see it fulfills its job at replaceing it.
"Like the slant six, the 3.9 has shown itself capable of great abuse at the hands of those non-oil-or-air-filter-changing folk who so often end up behind the wheels of Mopar cars and light trucks."

Yeah. Try abusing a Honda or Toyota like them engines where.
And look at the old 318. It ran 200 to 300K easy moving MOTORHOMES around!!!
Of course I've seen a few Toyota 22R's powering small motorhomes before (Kanook or Canook I think?) but they had NO POWER at all to climb any hills. I could not believe they used a 4 banger in them things LOL!!!
But I've seen 30 foot motorhomes still use a 318 and they ran for ever!!!!! Longer than most Jap engines lasted in little sub 3000 Lbs cars!
So whoever thinks American engines don;t last. Better check out motor homes, cop cars, and taxi's!

Well...all one really needs to do is go to a derby sometime and just see just how much abuse a 318 can take.
When you got over half the field running 318's it makes ya wonder...gee!
Long live that block 239/318/360, There will never be any other like it.

LMAO..... I have a 2001 Dak. QC 4.7l with 96,275 and the only thing replaced is plugs, ties, air filter, oil and filter. I put leather seats and the cold air, I have headers but They are such a pain in the ass to put on I havent got to them yet. I have Removed 3rd cat and str8 pipe out to the bumper w/ chrome tip ;)

117,000 and change and that even after getting it back and rebuilding it from a total loss.(cosmetic).Long live the 360!!!!!!!!!
