hey i have a 2003 quad with the 4.7 black with black interior, driver side vents don't blow out near as good as passanger? also vent to right of steering wheel doesn't blow much at all out of the top half of the top vent? took it to dodge place 5 times said that it is blowing 39 air and working to facotry specs, i got my own air temp gauage and it was correct but any idea on how to increase air flow for the driver side vents? they said there is a braket in the dash that kinda restircts airflow but wouldn't take it out??????????? help

Yep, got a 2004 with the same problem. Somewhere here is a post about isloating the AC condenser from the exhaust heat. Something about designing a baffle. As to air flow, not sure what to do. Had my AC checked under pressure and it is above average for pressure and capability, but doesn't always deliver, same as yours.

Yeah, I think the AC in my '01 QC leaves a bit to be desired. I too have had it checked and it is working properly. I think it should blow colder and harder. I think it is just a characteristic of our Daks. My vent to the left of steering wheel seems weaker then the middle vents. AC works adequetly, just seems to take a while to get the cab cool. Once the cab is cool, it seems to work fine. My wife has a '98 Camry (4 cyl.) and her AC kicks A$$ compared to mine. You actually have to adjust the temp. control knob after it has been on a few minutes or you start shivering!
My last truck ('94 Toy Xtra Cab V6) didn't have AC, so I'm gratful to have AC at all, no matter how weak. Especially when hauling kids around all the time.

this must be a late model thing. the a/c in my '00 QC kicks butt. ice cold. when we go on trips the family knows to bring blankets or they'll be shivering. it also might be because my dak is white w/tinted windows.

I have tinted windows also, silver exterior w/ black interior. If I remember correctly, in '01 the interiors were changed slightly from the previous model year. I believe that one of the changes was that the vents were different in size and location in the '97-'00 models. Maybe they were more effective and/or flowed better then the '01-'04 models? Just a thought.
