How does one drop the auto trans oil pan on a 1993 5.2 2wd with that huge exhaust pipe "Y" just about touching the pan?

Well, first off, I don't think the wye pipe should be touching the pan. It might be like an inch from the pan and it might be in the way of the bolts on the front of the pan. Now if it is touching you will have to drop the wye pipe to get the pan off. While you have the wye pipe off I would replace it if it is really hitting the pan. Because it is not suppose to be touching the pan. Goodluck

Even thought the pan is going to be under the pipe once you drain
the pan you can pull it back and forth and get it out. when you get
in there check you bands, they are known to losen, so readjust
them.( if needed)

Does anyone have some good ideas for some bolt on perforemce
stuff.

Thanks
