 Subject: Cold Air Intake

My 1993 5.2 is bone stock. I read about people installing better air intake systems on other model years. Also have read about removing plastic flap behind grill. My truck appears to have no flap, just a wide open funnel behind grill that connects to the air cleaner via plastic tubing. The air cleaner is the typical old round style, mounts on top of TB. Are there any improvements out there, or is the 1993 set up decent? Looking at it, seems that it already does everything that the K&N units do.

Ya go with a k and n i have one on a 95 318 doing great, and also
go with platium plugs big diff. and a cat back system all will do u
some good, hit up kandn.com and get the part# and head to
kragen and check it out. try that and let me know what u think.
