well here it is dealer put new heads on my truck about 3 months ago drove it 250-300 miles and i put a vortech supercharger on. everything was going good till it started to overheat so i had one of my buddys look at it and thought it could be head gasket so i replaced them with mopar performance gaskets everything was good for about 50 miles and it happen again but gets worse when im in positve boost. this is what happens coolant comes out of the overflow and the upper radiator hose is stiff as a rock and in the resavor i can hear the coolant bubbling so i put a rag over the cap that is in the hose and the coolant starts going crazy with bubbling and when the cap is off its nothing but steam and the hose is empty. I put a new 180 tstat in and new upperhose cap and still doing it.
if anyone can help i really appreciate it.

i have a 2001 dakota r/t

keeps your engine cool. coolant flows through your engine. If something is overheating it must not be cool.

It could be the head gasket. But check the simple things first. Did you purge the cooling system correctly? Did you drill a hole in the thermostat? Is the water pump good? etc, etc, etc.

Check to be sure your mixture is correct. If it's too lean it will get really hot.

Check to see if it is a blown head gasket. Could also be a bad seal in the intake manifold. Have the coolant checked for byproducts of combustion.

If the gasket is bad, either the block is warped/cracked, or you're doing something wrong in assembly.

Check and see it you are getting air into the coolant from a bad head gasket.

-When engine is cool take off radiator cap and fill radiator.
-Jack up truck (one side) so the filler heck is filled with water, no air trapped in radiator.
-Start engine and keep topping off radiator so no air is in system.
-Keep truck running with radiator filled up, it will spill some water as the truck heats up,but that's OK, just keep air out of the system.
-if you are constantly seeing little air bubbles escaping from the filler neck (15-20 minutes of running) you know air is being pushed into the coolant,,, head gasket the most likely suspect

Second option. Get the radiator checked with a sniffer. Will tell you without a doubt if your getting exhaust in your coolant. You might be trying to push to much boost and the head gaskets can't handle it. Might also have worped a head the first time they was overheating. less likely would be a worped block (rare). Good luck. Got a feeling your going to be needing a lot.

So many problems .... So little time
