Wow the thread that comes back and back. I saw someone had large RED lettering and thought "Yipee! We have HTML again?" Then I realized it was just an OLD post before Mark took the html away. LOL!!!

DSW, I had the glasspacks for maybe 6 months. The only reason I took them off was because they were too loud for towing since you're loading the engine for so long the sound was a little loud in the truck!

Other than that I sometimes wish I still had them. They are on Rammer's Mustang so we deffenitely recycled them! LOL!

Rammer says I should have stuck with the glasspacks (If I'd known I was not going to tow a toy hauler any more). It was so brutal with the 2 1/2" tue dual and 3 1/2" exits that it litterally scared the kids in the Honda's and Cavaliers just by the bark of them! Not many trucks on the road sound that mean and it's a little better of a sound as compared to straight pipes.

Funny how people refer to them as hicks from the 70's, etc. They flow as good or better than any other aftermarket muffler that costs 3 times as much. And they are louder! If you wants loud and mean. A GlassPack is still the way to go. As long as you got a V8 anyway. Because loud exhaust sound like sh*t on a V6 as soon as you touch the throttle!

Guess I didn't word that quite right...

What was the length of the glasspacks you had on your Dak?

Just wondering as I'm thinking about a 40" on the Durango instead of the standard 24" glasspack.
