 Subject: Engine Codes

Tried the 3 times on to prompt the engine codes, and all I saw was check engine flash 3 times, then a pause, check engine flashed 10 times. On a 1993 with a 5.2, is this how you read a code?
Does anyone know what it means?

sounds like you got a [3]1 flash slight pause 2flashes=beginning of codes=12

pause

and [10]5 flashes slight pause 5 flashes=end of codes=55

you have no codes at this time
