I went with the 8.5mm Mopar Performance plug wires for my 5.2.

The plug wires at Autozone are mostly just garbage. I used there expensive ones at one time until one day when one of the wires seperated from the boot.

Ask for the "Duralast Gold" line of dist. caps and rotors when (if) you stop at AutoZone: they have the desired "heavy" plastic and those good brass terminals!

I disagree with the duralast gold from auto zone I put that on my '83 camero and it cracked very easily very little pressure and it seems to have something in it that won't hold out water from the cap and rotor I switched back to stock and all my problems disappered I refuse to use auto zone stuff I prefer napa stuff and they make a brass cap and rotor set up and it worked just fine any other thoughts on this??

I did! Guess the money spent on an Associate degree was worth it somehow!

Not too hard; the instructions and video are very helpful (especially if you're not experienced). Take your time, pay attention to small parts, get the truck high enough on jackstands, and plan on taking a couple of evenings or so if you're a newbie. Oh, and have a case of carb or brake cleaner on hand-- remember clean, clean, clean!

P.S. If you're still unsure, I would think any well-regarded local shop can do it for you. Labor shouldn't be unreasonable... I'd think...

P.P.S. Used to work at NAPA: yeah, their stuff's usually good, but Autozone where I work now also has good things, too. Just gotta pick and choose no matter where you go!

The video I referred to came in my Transgo kit. They may have not always put the video in their kits; I'm not sure. I bought mine in late 2003 or early 2004. I still have the tape-- if you want a copy of it I'll be happy to oblige for free, just send your shipping address to my email!

Cheers!
