 Subject: Guess my problems and cost to fix

Okay,
My 2000 Sport, is giving me 3 codes to play with.
1296 which I believe is the cruise control, because it does not work at all.
P0551 - perhaps its something with the steering
P0171- perhaps something with the fuel mixture
Should i have the dealer plug it in to the comp and fix for me????

As for the Cruise control, check all of your lights, i.e. Brake Lights Turn signals. The computer does continuously check to see if there is continuity on the lines and if brake lights are out, it won't allow your Cruise Control to work.
