i have a 93 318 4x4 and the inside of my tail pipe is black with I think it is running rich i replaced the MAP sensor and the o2 sensor but still, the inside of the pipe is black. My dad and I thought maybe the injectors were hanging open so we did a pressure test, did fine held the pressure. I don't know whats wrong, could anyone tell me what's wrong?

If you can, move your Intake Air Temp sensor to a warmer place on the intake, usually closer to the engine. That will lean out the air/fuel mixture a tiny bit.

When was your last tune-up? I would look at the basics. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter. The gas sold these days is pretty crappy and most tailpipes will have soot. It should not be caky though.

the soot is caky and i usually buy the 89 ethanol stuff(cheapest stuff you can find in nebrask about 2.19 a gallon) I have no idea when my last tune up was the truck has 194,000 miles on it and the last guy by the looks of it took pretty good care of it air filters brand new never thought of fuel filter
