Anybody need a 4.7L V8 engine? The price is right (so far). There's no reserve. If the block is still good it could be a great build-up project. If you could pick it up locally - wow!

That the same 4.7 as ours? How much of a pain would it be to swap? Are the engine mounts the same as the 3.9?

I'm guessing here that it would be more difficult than a 5.2/5.9 engine transplant in most situations. The mounts are not the same, but the frame is made for that size engine and should easily accommodate the correct mounts.

At any rate you'd need the appropriate PCM and wiring harness to match the engine.

It probably won't work with any auto tranny other than the 45RFE (or 545RFE). Meaning: the 4.7's PCM won't know how to talk to a 42RE, 44RE, or 46RE tranny.

If the 3.9L is attached to a manual tranny you might be able to make it work.

Adam yes it would.

that would be a good project motor as long as the block is still good.
