I am going to be installing a wideband o2 sensor and wanted to get a good idea on where to put it. I have no 3rd cat and curently have a o2 simm.

Also does the wide band hook into the factory wires? What problems might I incounter in the install?

Thanks.

The wideband o2 sensor will only do you some good if you get a controler with it. It will not work in your factory wire harness.

This is the one you want, unless someone can prove otherwise.

You say you have no third cat, do you still have the first 2? If so I would assume there is one for each side, and they are located between the engine and y-pipe?

How many o2 sensors are you supposed to have? and how many do you still have?
Ultimately the best place to test is the first place that you can get info from all cylinders. Basically right after the y-pipe.

As for problems, since the unit is completely separate from the rest of the engine contol stuff, you shouldn't have any. Toughest part of the install would be welding the bung to the pipe.
