Greg, If I get another vehicle to drive then it would only be a matter of months before new cam, heads and valvetrain replacement. Bt in the meantime yes it may take awhile maybe another year or so....I want some mpg, thank god your BB isnt your daily driver!! : )

Toolfan I bought my gears and LSD from www.gearsareus.com

Great people too work with and the cheapest I found yet. They use richmond gears I believe.

My oldest boy has a late 80's 5.0L MUSTANG > The car was a special factory order and has an aluminum body > This car flies like there was no tomorrow > It's a standard with posi and when he punches it the thing plants you in the seat but good > The car lives in his garage and is seldom driven > He is convinced it is already a collectors item > It's the only one I ever seen or even heard of > Anybody in here got or know of one ?

Honestly, I bash on FORDS all the time but I must say that I have some respect for their old Fox body mustangs... 5.0's... My friend's mom owns one and He gets it every now and again and I must say... Wow... Its got some kick... How much do you think the weight of my 92' Club Cab Dakota compares to the 80's mustang? I BELIEVE my truck weighed 2000 pounds when I weighed it but then again I think it came up 3000 pounds another time... Who knows? It's a v6 by the way.. eck.. lol

Okayt I work for Ford and I belive 96 Was the end of the 5.0's. Now a 5.0 in a Fox body was quick decent horsepower no weight. When they changed the body style it got heavy and kept the same 5.0 and was a bit doggy. I know cause my 93" Dak with a 5.2 and 3" exhaust could hang with them. Not beat but hang.

And as for the v-6 mustang go test drive an o5" With a 5speed. They are impressive for a v-6 and will surprise ya.
