Subject: Engine smoking

When I come to a stop, not every stop, the engine shoots out smoke from the front and side of the engine compartment. Not a lot but enough to notice and smell in the cab too. It smells like oil burning or maybe coolant or both. but i don't know where the leak is coming from, some help, please.

Start searching on that side of the engine. Look at your exhaust manifolds and see if there is any staining that may be caused by a leak. Just have to look and see what you find. Check your fluids to see if one is possibly low.

most likely a valve cover gasket is leaking onto one of your manifolds > the manifolds and exaust pipes are pretty much the only things hot enough to burn the oil like that
