Old Fool. You redlighted LOL :p

And what ran that high 10 in the right lane?

Was it another truck?

Also. Damn , what's with all this 4,000 Lb Dakota talk???

I went to the dump this last Saturday. I think I heard my Dak weighs in at 4700 stock. The scale said 5200!!! I THINK I had maybe 100 Lbs in the bed taking to the dump.

So, me being close to 200. I guess I could have 200 Lbs of additional weight over stock with my equipment.

Damn. Anyone else have a Dakota that weighs in close to 5,000 Lbs???

Fed,

I can't tell you the price tag. You have to contact 'Hotrod Lane' for all prices.

toolfan,

That sight 'HotRod Lane' isn't ours. Our site is
http://alamo-performance.com
In fact go to 'Our Cars' and at the bottom is a pick of my old truck launching at Bandemere Speedway in Colorado last year. I live in South Texas, San Antonio. I lined up the swap for our customer at 'Hotrod Lane'.

GraphiteDak,

Yeah, my foot slipped off the brake. I'm not used to an Automatic anymore, but that is changing with the Gen II Dak I'm building. It will weigh in at about 2,500 lbs and is a 600+ hp 408ci stroker motor with a Torque Flight 727 tranny behind it. Some links to motor part pics Heads
Crank and Parts
Carb and Piston Parts
Balancer, Rods, ignition and Gasket and other Parts
A folder full of cool pics

Here is the weight ticket for my Club Cab 2x4 Gen III 4.7L, 5 Speed truck. This is with me off and almost 3/4 tank of gas full street trim. I lightened it more after this and weighed in here in San Antonio at 3,995 with me on board, I weigh 229 or so. The 3,995 was with the console and pasenger seat out, no tail gate and some other things removed. I've heard others say their Gen IIIs being heavy as a tank, but mine was exceptionally light in comparison.

GraphiteDak,

It was a 1964 Chevy II Hard Top (Nova in other words), the wifes of a pair of Chevy IIs, the husbands is a 1965 Chevy II Wagon that runs a bit quicker. And they both drove them home from the track that night.

Later,

Graph, don't feel lonely. My empty weight from the dump was 5025 with about a 1/4 tank of gas. Mine's an 02 QC SLT AWD.
