i used one of those lateral G testers i ran 16.20 though the 1/4 at 85mph. 0-60 8.0 that was with the 318 auto cc. they say they only ran 16.9 those lying Motor Trend people. i always knew they were againist dodge. once i get rid of that death flash sh!t it should have way more low end than it does now doesn't even spin the tires off the line.

You must have been spinning because 85 mph trap sppeed is right at about 16.0 unless that death flash realy made that differnce.

You gotta remember that the g-tech's etc all give an actual 1/4 mile speed, while the track gives an averaged speed over the last 60' or so of the track... so the meter will usually measure a couple mph faster than a track.

My truck ran a 15.5 at 87MPH with just an K&N intake. I have a 1996 reg cab 318 auto with 3.55 open diff. Im curious too see what it will run now with my current mods. BTW I also have a death flash and I just ordered a performance PCM from Mancini rancing, But guess what, they called today and said its discontinued so that really sucks.

K&N intake, Gibson headers, JBA crossover, Carsound cat, IAT adjuster, 3923's, 180 stat

Dyno said I had 184 RWHP @ 4250RPM, and 243 RWTQ @ 3500...with 22%drivetrain loss its 236 HP at the crank, and 312 TQ at the crank. That up from the stock numbers of 220 HP and 295 TQ

Mike99Dakota: what were your ET gains with the 3.90's sure grip. I think that will be my next mod on the list. I just saved $300 for the PCM but I can't get it so I think I will get some gears. Also what did you gain with the Fastman TB, I figure my truck could use that now since I have the whole exhaust done.

Mopar318, don't get discouraged if you can't find a 96 pcm. I found one for a 92 about 2 months ago from a random person selling it on a dodge forum, just have to do some searching. Another option is to get a custom flash for about $300-400.

Mopar318,

If you really need that flash done then get a custom flash like Sam said. KRCperformance.com Or B&G Chrysler can do this for you personally I wouldnt get the flash for it wouldnt help you all that much right now. Get the flash when you get headers, intake, and tb at least.

My truck ran a 15.42 with it stock flowmaster muffler.

My truck ran a 15.33 with TB but that was only one run so....maybe better?

My truck with headers ran a 15.12

My truck runs consistsantly 14.91s and 14.93s, just one time i managed to get a 14.89 and that took four tries in one night plus it was a hair bit cooler at about 87 degrees too.

I thought the 3.90 gears was going to put me in my seat but it didnt like I thought. Yes it is noticeable difference and better get up and go but now I shift sooner and top out quicker. 3rd gear ends at about 102 mph before shifting into 4th(o/d).

Let me know if you need any other info?
