Six o'clock position on the inside of the brake housing, look for a long, oval shaped rubber plug. Pull the plug and use a brake spoon (adjusting tool) or short, wide bladed screw driver to move the serrated adjuster up or down depending on whether you want to spread or retract the brake shoes.

It's where Rob C said but it's small about 3/4" long and maybe 3/8" high, just pop it out with a screwdriver and with your adjuster tool or screwdriver reach to the top of the star wheel and by raising the handle end of your tool pry the wheel down towards the inside of backing plate until resistance is felt. This will expand adjuster and move shoes apart, closer to drum. Of course the opposite direction will loosen shoes. I tightened mine up last week and it took care of a lot of pulsing to a stop, however, it's not perfect and will need brake job to solve 100%. Hope this helps...Mark

Of course, if you don't want to go through all of that and you need your shoes expanded, you can (do this in a place with no traffic and lots of room, like a vacant parking lot) put the truck in reverse then back up and press the brake pedal quickly and firmly, repeating this several times. This will cause the automatic adjusters to expand the brake shoes. No tools required and you don't have to crawl under the truck.
BTW, the rubber plug is long compared to the height and I'll bet it's longer than 3/4".
