major problem and need help
When i start my truck i will start on the first crank but will not idle just dies if i stay on the gas it will run if anyone has any suggestion on fixing this i would appreciate it.

How old is your battery? Even if your engine cranks and starts up, on the 3.9, 5.2 & 5.9 engines when there's a problem in the charging system effecting the battery, these engines will exhibit idling problems like you've described. Take your truck to AutoZone and have your system/battery checked.
Another area you might want to look at is your throttle body. How long since you cleaned it? You may need to clean the throttle body by removing it and the IAC motor and thoroughly cleaning the idle air port and the throttle bore/plates. Also clean the IAC motor pintle and relubricate the seal so it slides back in place easily. Good luck and let us know what you find.

well my truck decided to start working fine the next day had a little jumping in the rpms but after a while that completly stoped and is running how it has for years. I have not touched a thing. any ideas that may have caused this

This might seem kind of obvious and dumb, but mine did that once. Sometimes it would start fine and stay running other times it would just die as soon as i let off the gas. Luckily all it was was a loose ground battery terminal. Check that first! Its usually the simple things that cause the most drama
