I have 2000 Ram 4x4 360 auto. My truck has been running a temp. of almost 210 degs.,is this normal?? With the temps. running in the mid 90's now a days. I have replaced the T-stat,and I know the fan is working?? Could I be over reacting in worrying about this. Or is there some thing else I sould be looking at. My truck has 106,000 mile on it. There is many other things to look at,I know. Could it be the water pump, raditor cap,or the temp. sending unit.

Or all of the above. Try this. When the temp is up to 210*, turn the heater on high. If the temp comes down, there's a problem with the actual cooling. If it doesn't, then there's a problem with the gauge. That's a good rule of thumb to get you pointed in the right direction.

Engine temp up to 220 is about normal on a 90 degree day.I wouldn't worry.I live in Fl and my truck runs 210 all the time.

My 98 Dak 5.2 x cab 4X4 runs @ 210 on 100 degree days towing a trailer in hills. At times it goes a little above 210. As long as it doesn't lift the radiator cap and push the water out, it is fine. Mine will cool when the pull levels off and you can let it roll and not work the engine so hard.
