I have a 91 dakota doing same thing NO SPARK!! at first it would stall when driving and would start right back up. then it just got worse over time. now it wont start at all. cranks fine. I started with a fuel punp, fuel filter, new battery and cables, new coil, new distributer cap, plugs and wires, also looked at that wire splice people talk about and still no spark. and yes its getting fuel.the only thing left is the computer and a hall effect sensor. dont think it could be the hall effect thing cause there is no spark comming from the coil (witch is new).so i think that im going to replace the computer soon. i pulled the old one out to match numbers and found out that it had been replaced befor. it has a 2003 remanufactured sticker on it and it a california emissions computer.8928 not 8924. so if there is anything anyone thinks i missed on my way to the computer please let me know. i had a simular problem with a 91 olds and it turned out to be a bad computer. so they do go out sometimes.

I have the same situation, 91 5.2L with automatic. It started about a year ago, while driving down the interstate. It just quit, I put it in neutral, turned key back, and it fired right up again. It did that a few times, then got worse. I've changed about every sensor I can think of, and also the fuel pump. I'm about to swap out the computer also, so hope I'm on the right track.

Try checking asplice in the wiring about 4-6 inches below the underhood fusebox. 3 wires into one. Redo that splice.
