Hey, guys: It seems a ground squirell has decided to dine under the hood of my 98' Dakota, 318, and I'm in need a couple of the connectors that attach to the fuel injectors. Can either be with just enough wire to splice in, or w/clips.
Oh, does it matter which?..if so, it's #2&4. If anyone has any, or knows where I can get some at a reasonable price please let me know. Thank you.

I think you can get them from a dealer. Cheapest option is goinf to be a junkyard. They changed the connector in 2000, any truck that is earlier should be fine. V6 and V8 both used the same connectors. Find a wrecked Dak, Ram, Durango or full size van and clip a couple connectors.

There are usually plenty of wiring harnesses in the junkyards. All the connectors are the same. They did change connector style in 2000 so look carefully.

Knifemaker,

That same rodent must have traveled to Florida and munched on my #1 injector wire, even left some empty acorns. Mine had enough wire to solder them back together and put heat shrink tube on them. Do you have any wire left to work with? If so, do you need to match wire color to connector pins?

Nope, them rascals nibble the wire as close to the connector as they could. I live in a very remote area and have checked every worthwhile salvage yard for 100mi. radius, to no avail. Most of em say "No Dakotas on the place". :) I usually have better luck finding things online, but off to the dealer I go, sounds like...sniffffff

It does not have to be a Dakota. I am sure at least on of your local junkyards has a wrecked Ram. It will work, as will a Durango or even a full size van.

I wondered why that wouldn't be the case. Seems like the salvage pros would've known that. Just gotta shake your head sometimes.lol
Thanks all. Pretty good forum here, I'll be checking back frequently.
