 Subject: Wheel Barrings

Im not sure if this is what the problem is im not to keen on mechanics but I think my driver side wheel barrings went out today. Me and a friend were driving through town when all of a sudden there was a bad vibration and grinding sound for about 15 seconds then it the sound died down. I felt around on the under carrige and I felt the hub on the drivers side and it was hot enough to burn my hand(that hurt damnit) I was wondering if thats what the problem is...please help
