I own an 89 Dakota sport convertible and want to up grade the engine to a 5.2 but keep my 5sp manual is that ok? Secondly does it matter what year the 5.2 is? can it be a magnum. In addition to the engine what else do I need to include in my parts list?

I have a 1999 dakota 3.9l just put in a
1997 5.2l used the complete engine tranny
wireing harness and pcm but wont start
dose anybody know what is wrong

so i have a 93 dakota at4x4 with the 3.9 and a 99
dakota at4x4 with the 5.2
i have both whole trucks and i wanna put the 5.2
in the 93 body. 99 frame is rusted out.
does anybody know what modifications need to be
made to the 93 in order to run the 99 wire
harness? like.. cluster, radiator, etc..
