Subject: High Flow Cat Converters

I have a "98 Dakota Club Cab 4X4 5.2L Auto. I have read on this board that a lot of you have put on aftermarket Cat Converters such as Magnaflow. When I worked at a Dodge dealership in the service dept we saw a lot of vehicles with aftermarket cats that were not very good. Almost none of them passed emissions testing and usually after a year or less they were rattling and falling apart. I know how expensive the Mopar Cats are, and I see alot of guys on here use the aftermarket cats. What has your experience been? Do they last. Is the performance increase noticible with the high flow ones? Would I need to make any other modifications or adjustments if I install one on my truck? I will be using this truck for towing so I was considering redoing the whole exhaust when I change the cat. Let me know what you run, including model/part numbers if possible and where you got the best prices.

Thanks alot!
