 Subject: bad fuel mileage

I have a 97 4x4 5.2L sport and I had the plenum gasket done about 2 weeks ago and I put new autolite spark plugs and semi synthetic oil in it. Ever since then my mileage has droped from about 16/17 mpg on the highway to about 13/14 mpg.
would any of these things have an effect on my mileage???? Any input would be great

All plug wires on all the way ? Leak in plenum gasket ? Coupla things to check.

Its the gas companies putting crap in the fuel to make us buy more at 2.40 a gallon.

I hope its not the plenum gasket Ijust had it replaced. All the plugs wires are on good and tight.

bad set of new spark plugs, it can happen
some people cannot stand Champions, but I prefer them from good experience
