Found cotton fiber conical air filter w/3" opening @ AUTOZONE for $25. IT will w/a little work fit directly onto the 4.7 air box (on top of engine) where the ribbed hose attaches (from the filter box) YOu do have to remove the top of the filter box to install. I removed the air box (temp) to install filter, then re-installd the box & filter-had to raise the filter side slightly to clear the heater pipes & added insulation over pipes to keep heat away.
Looks good,sounds mean, & definately added some low end punch. Gonna remove stock filter from holder & modify top to deliver cold air to end of new filter-& am working on ducting more cold air up as well. ONLY PROB-CK FOR HOOD CLEARANCE!!
