Subject: R/T front springs?

just wondering whether or not the front coil springs are different for v8 and v6. looking to pick up a set of r/t springs for the front to get a little drop, and put blocks in the rear. would they work with a v6 2wd? i've seen drop springs for dakotas advertised as all the same, is it the same with stock ones?

They are different. The V8's are a little stiffer to accomodate the heavier engine. The R/T's are still a V8 spring, but slightly shorter. If you used a V8 spring in a V6 truck it might ride a little rough and possibly a little higher too. I'm not sure if the V6-V8 springs have a different height to them or not, I just know they are different spring rates.

alright, thats what i wanted to know. sounds like the r/t spring would still be too stiff, even if it is a little shorter, my truck probably wont have the weight in the front to make it settle down enough to see the difference.
