Something about the Crosswinds intake had been bugging me. It seemed too good to be true, and I just remembered why. These intakes are intended for either preMagnum blocks with LA heads, or Magnum heads. They do not fit Magnum blocks. Now, before the flames start, I know the intake bolts to the heads, but it also seals to the block. Take a measure of the Magnum intake. Right about 10 inches wide at the top of the gasket surface where it seals against the heads. On an LA engine, it 9 1/2 inches. Ever set an LA intake on a Magnum block? It doesn't even touch the heads! These intakes only work on LA blocks with LA or Magnum transplanted heads.
