 Subject: 5.9 harmonic balancer swap

hey, anyone know if the 97, or any other year harmonic balancer (front of crank) will mount to the 2001 5.9? will any match to the pulleys? I have an issue, mine is coming undone, the outer ring is slipping, and I noticed that the crank pulley is a integrated part... crazy azzed engineers... anyway, I'd like to get a better dampner/balancer, than stock, and noticed that only the earlier models had the seperated type pulley/dampner. anyone know if I'll getinto any interferences of I use the earlier style on my 01 R/T?

The integrated pulley/damper was a year 2000 change, but the earlier 2-piece will swap over. Should not be any sort of interference issues. This is the same sort of swap I had to make on my 2001 360 Magnum transplant. I got a pre-2000 style damper from Mancini Racing, and bolted my V-belt crank pulley (1989 Dakota) to it. Looks like it was born there.

saaawweeeet. I think I'll start in on it today....early bird gets worms kinda thing....I was checking it out, crankshafts all are same, so I didn't think I'd have issues... thanks BIG time for your input!
