Subject: R/T cam install tips?

Message:
I'm thinking of installing a new cam, and have done a few in the past on carbeurated engines, mostly ford 302's/ never have done a fuel injected cam, nor on a 5.9. any thing I should be wary of? I'm a mechanic, working on getting my ASE certification, so I have tools and skill, just looking for thoughts from those who have "tread the path before me". I have a degree wheel, and know about the basics, removing lifters intake, distributor and such, and I'm aware of the injector timing off the distributor... but is there any problems or tricks that'll make my job easier? any thoughts on cam timing advance, retard or just straight up(yes, I know it'll afect the injector pulse timing!)? What degree of cam have YOU used, and what results did you get?
2001 RC R/T, 65K miles

THnaks for any input.

Install it straight up. Set your fuel sync at around +2 to +4.
