Took my Shelby Dak into the dealer for its state inspection. It passed with flying colors. I also had them check the compression. It wasn't bad for an 89 318.
Here is how she read.
#1: 175 #2 175 #3 170 #4 170 #5 170 # 6 170 #7 175 #8 170.

Not only am I happy that they are so close to each other, but that the absolute number is so high. The service tech commented that this is higher than the usually see on egines with far less mileage.

Yea, that carbon build up really raises the compression.
J/K, you probably maintained a good engine. Oil changes, etc.

I did and the original owner did, but the original owners grandson (2nd owner) beat the hell out of the truck. Even with good maintainence those are some good numbers
